When I first joined InteleTravel, I had some of the same questions that many people do. One of the most common concerns I’ve heard is whether InteleTravel is a legitimate business or a multi-level marketing (MLM) scheme. Let me clarify that for you.
Is InteleTravel Legit?
InteleTravel is legit.
InteleTravel has been around for over 25 years, and its track record speaks for itself. The company has earned a strong reputation for its leadership in the travel industry and an outstanding customer satisfaction rate. In fact, InteleTravel is a Norton Secured, Better Business Bureau (BBB)-accredited business, and it proudly displays the BBB Online Reliability Seal.
Additionally, InteleTravel is recognized by the key travel industry regulatory authorities, including:
- Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC)
- International Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN)
- Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA)
- Ensemble Travel Group (a travel agency marketing consortium)
These accreditations and recognitions mean that InteleTravel is a legitimate, trusted entity in the travel industry, working with top-tier brands for flights, car rentals, cruises, hotels, resorts, and more. The company is dedicated to making travel easier and more affordable for customers, and it provides a valuable business opportunity for independent agents.
Is InteleTravel an MLM?
One of the most common misconceptions is that InteleTravel operates as a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) program. I can confidently tell you that InteleTravel is NOT an MLM.
InteleTravel is a host travel agency, which means they provide the infrastructure and resources for independent travel agents like me to operate our own travel businesses without the need to build everything from scratch. InteleTravel handles the backend work—such as setting up your website, payroll, and sourcing suppliers like cruises, flights, hotels, and tours—so you can focus on helping clients plan their dream vacations.
As an independent travel agent, your income is generated from booking travel for others, not from recruiting new agents.
But …
There are situations where InteleTravel Independent Advisors want more out of their career—they want to expand, attract more business partners to help support their clients, create passive income, or make more without constantly trading time for money. This is where the MLM aspect comes into play.
When an InteleTravel agent is ready to grow their business in this direction, they have the option to build an MLM business model – build a team, earn commissions based on team sales, and generate passive income. However, the option is entirely optional.
The pathway is available for those who are ready to take it on. If you’re not interested in recruiting or growing a team, you can simply remain a travel agent and focus solely on booking travel for clients.
InteleTravel’s core business remains focused on helping independent travel agents book travel and earn commissions. The option to expand into MLM is available through a separate platform for those who want to scale their business.
The training and support InteleTravel offers are designed to help you become a professional travel advisor, not to focus on building a downline of recruits. InteleTravel empowers you to be your own boss, work from home, and build your own client base.
